We were fishing off Fort Myers beach at about mid-night with some squid as bait. Me and my cousin were talking when the pole along with the beach chair that we attached it to was pulled right into the water. My cousin caught the pole and yanked the pole back to make sure what ever was on the pole was on good. When he pulled, the thing in the water was so strong that it took all the line and left the spool spinning like crazy. Then it started thrashing around in the water. Then it was gone. Never found out what it was.
